New generation of Sonel digital clamp meters
Sonel CMP-400, CMP-401 and CMP-1006 – these clamp meters don’t need to be introduced. There have been tens of thousands of them sold over the last few years all around the world and they are about to take a well-deserved retirement. They are to be replaced by the new generation of clamp meters – Sonel CMP-402, CMP-403 and CMP-1010, together with Sonel CMP-1015-PV.
New look and consistent design
All clamp meters in the new series have consistent design which makes their use more intuitive regardless of the model you choose. reinforce the housing which not only protects the device against damages but also provides better grip even in protective gloves and electrical insulative gloves. Ergonomics of the device has been improved by adjusting the buttons and the function knob to users’ movement capabilities. The shape of the clamps makes their fitting in narrow and hard-to-reach places easier. All new devices have a built-in torch, which helps taking measurements in insufficient lighting, and the backlit display will do really good even on cloudy days. The clamp meters have easy access to the battery compartment. It’s safe to say that the new CMP clamp meters are compact and user-friendly instruments adapted for work in harsh conditions.

New generation = new capabilities
In new clamp meters, measurements range and accuracy have been improved and other measuring functions have been added. Sonel CMP-402, Sonel CMP-403, Sonel CMP-1010 and Sonel CMP-1015-PV feature i.a.:
- VFD function which is very useful while measuring behind inverters;
- compatibility with high-voltage adapters (e.g. Sonel AHV-3), which enables measurement of voltage up to 3000 V DC;
- measurement of voltage up to 1000 V AC/DC (for Sonel CMP-1015-PV: DC voltage up to 1500 V);
- possibility of measuring in-rush currents (INRUSH);
- peak values retention function Peak MIN / Peak MAX, which facilitates preview of results;
- capacity measurements;
- higher measurement category – CAT IV 600 V (Sonel CMP-1010 and Sonel CMP-1015-PV);
- low-impedance voltage measurement to eliminate induced voltages LowZ (Sonel CMP-1010 and Sonel CMP-1015-PV).

Higher quality at lower price
Sonel CMP-402, Sonel CMP-403, Sonel CMP-1010 and Sonel CMP-1015-PV are intended for use by electricians, technicians, power engineers and maintenance servicemen working in harsh industrial conditions or with devices controlled by frequency converters. The new clamp meters will make measurements more efficient and increase work safety. They are used during maintenance works, testing and repairing electrical and electronic systems in industrial facilities, service points and civil buildings – wherever electrical measurements and quick diagnostics of the operation of electrical networks and devices are required.
New Sonel clamp meters are a great additional to any electrician’s tool bag. What’s important, they cost no more than their predecessors.
